Challenge Day 3 - Nov. 16th

Told  my coach to give me a walk up text at 6am and she did..... shes awesome!!!

So dragged myself out of bed and down stairs to workout to my INSANITY workout..... what happened next was Sean T and I fighting over what to do... he wanted me to push push push and I wanted to sleep sleep sleep. You kniow you aren't getting  alot of your workout if you yawn as you are working out... so I kept going and tried to push myself but couldn't - I JUST QUIT... yes how awful. I figured that INSANITY might not be for me in month 1 of the challenge. So i have decided to switch it up and will start a new work out tomorrow... sorry Sean T but don't worry you wll see me again soon.

Bfast - shake (mmmm)
Meal 2 - 1 cup 1% cottage cheese with whole grain ceral - I chose fiber one
Meal 3 - soup - not good but not bad either
Meal 4 - greek yogert again with fruit
Meal 5 - small piece of steak with broccoli

Water - yea well working on that too....

still have the head ache....

Challenge Day 2 - Nov. 15 (but really day 1 for me)

Day 2:

Zero motivation to work out...
Bfast - had my shakeology shake - which I just love. Best meal of my day. I tend to have the shakes for bfast just because its easier - I don't have time to make anything and well I like the way it gets my morning goin.
Meal 2 - Greek yogert w/ fruit - man that is some thick yogert - wow!!! But with the fruit its not so bad.
Meal 3 - can't remember now - but it was healthy I'm sure of it.
Meal 4 - 1 cup of 1% cottage cheese with cucumbers
Dinner - Chicken and peas

Still don't have energy and motivation - however I think that is because of all the other things going on right now - grandfather is in the hospital (not doing well at all), my dad's health isn't great either and had some scares with him, my college course I am taking is TONS of work, and trying to plan my wedding.... and not drink any wine through this whoel thing is a test of my ability.....

I have had this headache in the back of my neck for three days now - its not helping but trying to work through it as well...

Challenge - Day 1 Nov. 14th

Well I was going to start with fasting the first two days of the challenge. So got up monday had my shake - but realized I just don't feel that was the best choice. Checked with my "coach" Laurie and she agreed. So day one really was a bust.....

Challenge is on

So as of Nov. 14th I will be par-taking in the Hot Holiday Gals challenge. I am going for 60 days (I would have done 90 but lets be realistic - thats too close to the wedding. I will incorporate Shakeology into my meals along with - INSANITY!!! My wedding is in 114 days... OMG yes ... 114 days. I would like to tone up and lose a few lbs before then. I wanna look H O T!!! (hmmm maybe I will go for 90 days).... we will see.

Challenge doesn't start until the 14th however today I started with a little taste of what my meal plan will be (well minus the shake).  Meal one today: 1 cup of 1% cottage cheese with 1/2 cup of fiber one cereal.  Meal two will be around 11am... which is plain yogurt and a banana. Meal three - around 1ish should be a salad but I have soup today. I didn't bring meal four with me... with figure that out at home.

I will do the two day fast again - most likely around Nov. hmmmm not sure when. There is an SU football game on the 11th and its homecoming and well I can't fast on the weekends I will seriously hurt someone. Could I start the fast on the 11th??? I will need to check on that one.

One more thing... I became a Beachbody Coach!!!  :)

Sick sick sick

Just love this time of year. EVER year I end up sick around Halloween. Seriously!!! I feel like crap and have ZERO desire to work out. I can't fricken bend over to do a push up without my nose running down my face - maybe TMI.... lol. or my head to feel like its going to pop off.  So this girl hasn't worked out in about 4 days.

I think I'm going to start all over again with my Insanity workout. Start fresh with the fit test again and go from there. Could be the perfect time as I will be starting a Holiday Challenge with Laurie. If anyone wants info on the Challenge and want in - let me know and I can get the information to you.

Well it seems that no one can leave comments (which doesn't really help with you guys motivating me if you can't leave comments). Oh well, I will just keep writing with hopes that I can motivate you (in the mean time I will send their help desk an email and find out what is going on).

DO NOT GIVE UP!!!

My friend Laurie sent this to me. I actually printed it out and plan on putting it up at home for me to read every day. Nothing like a little boost to remind myself that I am worth it!!! I have given up way too many times. I want to make this time count!!

Numbers

So I decided to not post my numbers... lol lol.... ok let me back up - I will not be posting ALL of the numbers. I'm not a fan of them. I will post the measurements just not the weight. I just can't. Its not a nice number and actually I'm embarassed that it is where it is. I should totally be 10 lbs lighter. I WILL be ten pounds lighter before my wedding. I need to feel good in order to feel I look good. I want to look amazing for Ben that day!!!!

So with all of that being said..... I will just stop eating... ha ha. JK - I need to regain my motivation and get my ass in gear no more excuses (and I have had alot of them). Work has been stressful for me, Ben not being home, Zachary - well Zachary being a 10 yr old boy, wedding planning, and I start classes again next week. I need exercise more than anything right now - I need healthy eating habits more than anything right now... and I need to drink more water. Its so easy to sit here and type out what I need to do - I know what I need to do. Now I just need to do it!!! It needs to start right now!!!

Wegmans .... hope you are ready.

I'm looking forward to my date night this weekend.... me and Wegmans. Time to get all the food I will need to start eating correctly. Five meals a day - five good meals a day that is. I have it broken out in a spreadsheet - what I will eat and what/when I will work out. I'm looking forward to it actually. I kinda just ate whatever this week - yes I know BAD DENISE. What can I say it was a long short stressful week. Work was something this week. 

So more to come - I'm ready!!!

Do you know what your caloric need is per day???

This was something I have heard about but NEVER knew what the calculation was. Well now I know (thank you again to Laurie and my Elite Nutrition Guide)!  It is telling me that I should eat 1615 calories of food a day. OMG that is alot of food and I doubt I consume even close to that now. Total makes sense why I have ZERO energy by the end of the day.

I need to eat 5 meals a day - and each meal about 300-400 calories. Thankfully the guide breaks out what my meals can be. Now I need to bust out excel and put it into a spreadsheet - this will be helpful for when I go grocery shopping.  Ohhh side note: EVERYTHING counts... milk and sugar in my coffee - damn snack from the snack bowl at work... ugg!! lol.

I must remember to DRINK WATER!!! 8-10 glasses a day. I sit right across from the filtered water drinking fountain and have no excuse to not get up out of my chair and fill my glass!!

Eat eat and eating some more

Uggg... I ate so bad yesterday I don't know if I even want to put it in writing....

Breakfast - nothing (well cup of coffee)
Lunch - some chicken wing dip - yea I know the worst thing for me - might as well took that cream cheese and put it right to my hips.
Dinner - pizza (Zachary wanted it)
Snack - Celery
Water - I might have had maybe 5 glasses

Yesterday was a holiday - and totally didn't count. I had to celebrate Columbus day.  :)~

Today - back to the grind - I will be going through and cleaning out the cupboards of all the junk - granted I don't think we have much junk.. but if we do its gone. Grocery list has been started and will be getting that stuff tomorrow - and the Shakeology order will be going in on Friday for some shakes. I really really liked them and the way they made me feel.... plus its an easy bfast.

Measurements will be forthcoming.... most likely on monday. :)

The Beginning

Well I have decided to blog my way to a Fit and Happy Denise :) I asked myself what do I want to be first? Fit or Happy?? But really I want to be both.

Last week I par-took in a Shakeology Contest - I was to drink a shakeology for a meal, eat healthy, and work out. I also needed to send my Coach (Laurie) my measurements and weight. Yea hello - the numbers no women wants to send to anyone... well I did it. I also had to email her what I ate daily and what work outs I did. Let me tell you - when I would sit and write her my email - if I ate something I know I shouldn't have - putting it in writing was like telling my mom when I was younger on something that I did wrong. I was being held accountable for what I ate during the day. Well after that week and not doing very well I might add - I decided that I am going to blog my way healthy. Yes, I want to lose weight - but most importantly I want to be healthly. I feel healthy - I will be happy.

So here are my rules for blogging... there are no rules. I'm going to be upfront and honest with all of you who choose to read this. That means I will be putting out there the god foresaking #'s we don't like and maybe - maybe some pics. That might be too far for me... lol. There will be spelling errors, there will be moments where I tell ya exactly how I feel but I want you all to be honest with me and yell at me if needed - I need you all to be my motivation and push for me to meet my goal(s).

We are getting married Feb. 25th (yes we bumped it up from August and  no I'm not pregnant). So that means I have 138 days to lose 10 lbs and tone. 10 lbs really isn't a lot - its a doable target. However, I need to stay focused.

With Ben being out of town I'm back to being a single mom for right now and well it sucks and I feel I have no time for excersise. I need to make the time... I need to set aside an hour for myself each day - my body needs it - my brain needs it - and most importantly to keep myself sane I need it!!

So ladies no more excuses from  me - well I'm sure I will have some - but I will get through them - I will push past it - I will do this!!!
