Water Water Water

I drank a total of 2 Liters of water yesterday... WOW. I think that is the most water I have ever drank in one day. I was a frequent visitor to the ladies room - I think every hour on the hour I had to pee. Which I guess is the whole point of this cleanse - clear out the toxins that have set up shop in my body.

Put down that soda and drink more water! Start slow - replace one soda a day with a bottle of water instead!! Then keep removing the water and replace with water.

Water does great things for your body and mind!

Afternoon check in

Green tea and Shakeology - shake of course we all know I LOVE - the green tea well not my favorite - thankfully I only need to drink 2 cups a day (1st cup was first thing this morning - oh note on that - don't brush teeth before drinking tea - gross).

I will say - this cup isn't as bad as this morning - must be the whole minty flavor I added this morning - or the fact that all I still taste is my chocolate shake.. ha. Well whatever works - I will continue.

I also have done well with my water - as of noon today I have drank 20oz of water. If I could get another 20oz in that would be golden. Granted, I have visted the ladies room the most today than I ever have - ha - TMI sorry!!

Ok, got to get back to drinking and well drinking!!!

Shakeology Cleanse

Tomorrow I start the Shakeology 3-Day Cleanse. No, I will not be starving myself. Its a natural cleanse for the body. I am looking forward to it. I went to Wegmans and bought all the items I need. I have the green tea (granted I'm not a green tea fan but I figured I can choke - I mean drink 2 cups a day. I have my fruit for my snacks and my chicken and fish to add to my salads.

The thought of cleaning out the toxins in my body is what I need to kick start myself. I will be sure to report in daily and keep you posted on how I feel.

Shakeology Cleanse Instructions – How to Do the 3 Day Shakeology Cleanse

Shakeology Cleanse
The Shakeology cleanse is a shortened and intensified version of the Shakeology meal replacement program. The duration of the Shakeology cleanse is 3 days total as opposed to the monthly regular version of Shakeology.

During the 3 day cleanse period most major meals (Breakfast and Lunch) are replaced with a Shakeology protein drink. Typically, when you buy Shakeology, Beachbody doesn’t recommend replacing too many meals with it, but they do say that for a short duration it is okay and will not harm your body.

Beachbody’s Shakeology meal replacement shake is an innovative nutritional protein drink. What sets Shakeology apart from other protein drinks currently on the market is its use of whole foods and the multitude of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants contained in the shake.

In total Shakeology contains more than 70 varieties of nutrients in its formula, most of which are derived from whole foods which makes it easier for the body to absorb.

The Shakeology 3 day cleanse contains more elements than the Shakeology drink itself; these other items will have to be picked up prior to starting day one if you do not already have them. These additional items include:
  • Green tea
  • Low calorie snacks
  • Ingredients for Salad (can include fish or poultry)
  • Low fat dressing
  • Fruit (optional)
Furthermore, no dairy or additional sugar is allowed; though two to four liters of water should be ingested daily to maintain hydration and to hasten the expulsion of toxins. Yes, that is correct - NO COFFEE!!! (eeekk)

A daily regimen during the Shakeology cleanse would go like this:

Upon waking:
1 cup of green tea upon rising in morning

Breakfast:
1 serving of Shakeology with ice and water (fruit is optional, no more than a cup)

Snack 1:
1 piece of fruit (your choice)

Lunch:
1 serving Shakeology with ice and water (fruit optional)
1 cup of green tea

Snack 2:
(Last snack of day can be done either before or after dinner)
1 serving Shakeology with ice and water

Dinner:
Salad and 3 serving of greens and vegetables, 4 ounces of protein (fish or poultry), and no more than two tablespoons of low fat dressing.

Each of the 3 days of the Shakeology cleanse would follow the same schedule of eating. If also completing an exercise program like P90X or Insanity you may want to include the optional fruit in your daily breakdown, this will give your body more energy to burn so you won’t disrupt your workout routine. But, if you are not participating in a heavy workout schedule then you will get the best results by opting to leave the fruit out.

Just be careful when doing your workout as you might not have the energy level to get through the whole thing - remember you are dropping your calorie intake for 3 days. Yoga or walking might be the best option.

Good morning my healthy friends. I have received many questions about the shakes that I drink every morning (and well sometimes during the day for lunch). 

I LOVE how I feel now that I am back on my shakes. I have more energy - I am not as hungry - I sleep better (which for me has been a huge benefit) - I just feel overall healthier. A Fresh New Year

Who is ready for a fresh start? A new you? A healthy you? A motivated you??? Let me help you. I'm in the process of doing all of that for myself. Come enjoy the ride with me!!

I'm starting off this year finding myself again and finding what I enjoy doing. I lost that for a little bit towards the end of 2012. I was consumed with the bad things that were happening in my life. I just haven't felt great about myself. The bad continued into 2013 and now I'm just determined to turn it all around. Granted it was all things that are beyond my control but still - NO MORE I can't take it.

So back to the things that I can control - MY HEALTH and well being. I just started Les Mills Combat Fitness - LOVE LOVE it! It mixes well with me and my love for the martial arts. I'm determined to be Dawn's star pupil.. lol.

I also started drinking my Shakeology shakes again each day for breakfast. I felt great when I was drinking them previously - so back at it.

I am currently on Day 3 of shakes and Day 2 of Combat and feel good. My muscles are awake and are aware that I'm ready to kick their ass!!

Part of what else makes me happy is helping other people find their healthy goals. If you want a cheerleader, a motivator, someone to hold you accountable, or just someone to talk to - I'm here to help! I want to help you.

I am no dr, not a nutritionist, not a personal trainer - I'm just a regular women with stress, some extra weight, and just want to be healthy.
